What do I fill scleral lenses with? Preservative-free saline only — never multipurpose solution, which can irritate the cornea when held against it for hours. See scleral & specialty lens care.

Can I rinse lenses with tap water? Never — tap water carries Acanthamoeba, a rare but sight-threatening infection risk. Always use the correct solution or sterile saline.
