The Ray-Ban Meta cat-eye. A lifted, feminine shape with a 12 MP camera, open-ear speakers, five microphones and Meta AI built in, in a frame that reads as sunglasses first and technology second. Capture a moment, take a call, listen to music or ask Meta AI a question without reaching for your phone.

What they do

• 12 MP ultra-wide camera with 3K Ultra HD video and a visible capture light
• Open-ear speakers for music, podcasts and calls, with nothing in your ears so you stay aware of traffic and conversation
• 5-microphone array and Meta AI for hands-free questions, messages and calls
• Up to 8 hours per charge, plus up to 48 more hours from the charging case
• 32 GB storage: over 1,000 photos and 100+ 30-second videos

Gen 2 or Gen 3?

Gen 2 is the lower-priced way into Ray-Ban Meta. It has the same 12 MP camera, 3K video, open-ear audio, Meta AI and storage as Gen 3. If you'd like more battery and clearer calls outdoors, look at the Gen 3 Zena, the closest cat-eye in the Gen 3 range, which adds an hour of battery, a sixth microphone and a smaller camera opening.

Lenses and colours

Choose your lens and frame colour above. G15 Green is the classic Ray-Ban sun lens, polarised lenses cut glare off water and roads, and Transitions lenses are clear indoors and darken outdoors. Prices are NZ$819 with polarised lenses and NZ$919 with Transitions.

Yes, they take your prescription

Single vision, progressive, sun tint, blue-light filter or Transitions. The frame houses the camera and electronics, so higher prescriptions, prisms and some specialty designs may fall outside the supported range. We check yours before you commit, and prescription lenses are quoted separately.

Frame measurements

Measured by Ray-Ban (mm). Compare them with a pair you already wear. The size is usually printed inside the arm, e.g. 50□22 150. Lens height matters most if you want progressives, which need enough lens depth below the pupil (usually 14–18 mm).
