Choose your size, lens and frame colour above. Clear BLF&AR is a clear lens with blue-light filter and anti-reflective coating; G15 Green and Grey are classic sun tints; polarised options cut glare off water and road; Transitions Gen S lenses adapt from clear indoors to tinted outdoors.
Yes — they take your prescription
Single vision, progressive, sun tint, blue-light filter or Transitions. The supported range is -12.00 to +6.00 total power. Some lens and frame combinations work better than others, and we'll tell you honestly which is right for your prescription rather than just taking the order. Higher prescriptions, prisms and some specialty designs may fall outside the supported range — we check before you commit.
What's included, and what costs extra
The price shown covers the frame as supplied, with its standard lens. Prescription lenses, and non-prescription treatments such as photochromic (light-reactive) lenses, tints, polarisation, mirror finishes and blue-light filters, are quoted separately and may carry an additional cost. We'll price your exact frame and lens combination before you commit.
Why buy them from an optometrist
These aren't an ordinary pair of glasses, and they shouldn't be posted out like a phone case. The electronics sit in the temples, the weight sits differently on your face, and if there's a prescription in them the optical centres still have to line up with your pupils.

Can I get Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer with prescription lenses in New Zealand?
Yes. The Gen 3 Wayfarer accepts prescription lenses from -12.00 to +6.00 total power (single vision, progressive, Transitions or tinted). Our optometrists check your script against that range before you commit, and refund your deposit if it can't be made up.
Can I add my prescription to the Wayfarer sunglasses, or do I need the Optical version?
Either works. The sunglasses can be re-glazed with a tinted, polarised or Transitions prescription lens. If you want a clear everyday lens, the Wayfarer Optical version is the better starting point.
What's the difference between Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and Gen 3?
Gen 3 has a 36% smaller camera and capture light, a 6-mic array instead of 5, up to 9 hours of battery (Gen 2: up to 8), slimmer temples, adjustable temple tips and an assignable action button. Camera resolution (12 MP ultra-wide) and 3K video are the same. Gen 3 also adds the Aviator and Zena shapes.
Should I choose Regular or Large?
Regular (50 mm) suits most average faces; Large (53 mm) suits wider faces or anyone who finds standard Wayfarers tight at the temples. If you're unsure, come in and try both — we measure you rather than guess.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 9 hours of mixed use on a single charge, with up to 50 additional hours from the charging case. Heavy video or Live AI use drains it faster.
Can they record without people knowing?
No. A capture light on the frame turns on whenever the camera is recording, and the glasses will not take photos or video if that light is covered, tampered with or damaged.
Are Ray-Ban Meta glasses waterproof?
They are IPX4 water resistant, which means splash and sweat resistant. They are not for swimming or heavy rain.
Which phones work with Ray-Ban Meta?
iOS 17 and later, or Android 10 and later, with the Meta AI app installed. They connect over Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6.
Do I have to buy in person, or can you ship them?
Both. We ship nationwide by tracked, insured courier with signature on delivery. We recommend a fitting at 38 Lake Road, Frankton, so we can adjust the frame, set up the app and check your prescription.
Is there an age limit?
We sell camera glasses to adults 18 and over only, and every pair's serial number is recorded against the buyer under our terms and conditions.
